Dr. Dudley-Robey is the 2008 World Champion in the sub-master division and the world bronze medalist for the open division in the bench press! He took the world championship and bronze medal for the United States of America at the 2008 Global Powerlifting Committee world championships in England for the 75 kg sub-master/open classes. He is a four-time member of Team USA and a 16 time record holder with current state, national, international records in five different federations! One of the hottest lifters in the world, at the UPA Super Qualifer at Team Super Training March 1st, 2009 he won the 165lb class with a bench of 425. His lift set a new UPA National record and set 2 new California state records. This marks the third meet in a row where he has set a national level or higher record in 4 different federations (AAFPF, USPF/GPC, UPA) including the 2008 GPC world championship, and bronze medal!
He has been concentrating on competing in Powerlifting since his final basketball season in 2002. He last played in the NBA Summer Pro League in Long Beach, CA for the free agent team DADA. Click here to go to the Doctor Bench Gallery for a few basketball pictures.
On the academic side, Doctor Bench has his Medical Doctorate and was Valedictorian of his medical school class. An expert in Integrative Medicine, he is a licensed Naturopath board certified in naturopathic Sports Medicine and a Fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine. A polished speaker, he was one of the United States delegates to the OIUCM 42nd World Congress in Washington, DC sitting on a panel and lecturing on hospital-based integrative medicine. He is credited with inventing and copyrighting the first computerized Director of Staff Development system in healthcare. An author and clinical reviewer for several publishers his background as a nurse and US Army medic, round out the picture.
